Rijnbogen culture cluster

2009, Arnhem, Netherlands – masterplan

Inside out regeneration

This multi-functional arts/ culture cluster is part of a bigger masterplan and has to function as urban instigator. It will have a crucial role in revitalizing the riverside and contains a theater complex, arts-cinema, a museum and educational facilities.

The commission was for a feasibility study. Asked to join the project by   Architectuurstudio HH (who were given the initial commission), we worked closely together with urban designer, project developers, future occupants and representatives from the municipality of Arnhem in workshop-groups on site.

The complete master planning is still on going, but when realized, this building will become an addition in a series of historic and contemporary icons that place Arnhem in a strategic position regarding arts, culture and business opportunities.
